The song reached number eleven in the Britain Singles Chart on its initial release and has since become their most popular song worldwide. It was a number 1 hit in Republic of iceland, then number i in Australia and New Zealand in early 1990. In 1993, following its appearance in the American film Benny & Joon, the vocal was released in N America and many other countries around the globe.
